Personality & Traits

Personal History Eve was born in the outskirts of Vancouver, BC in 2253. From a young age flight was in her blood. Nothing else. At the age of 12 she learned to fly her first shuttle with her father. After that she took continuous lessons from him to improve her flying skills. At the age of 15 she took her first solo flight in the safe atmosphere of Earth. After that she took her first space flight under the supervision of her father at the same age. She took her first solo flight in space at 17. Although, she didn’t go very far. Her father noticed how much she was actually improving with the skills she was gaining. Starfleet did as well and wanted her to join. She did as well, and one year later she applied to Starfleet Academy and got accepted in 2271

Of course, because she was a natural pilot, she majored in Command with a focus in flight control. While her first and second years at the academy were uneventful, her Junior year was packed. For one thing she served a semester for her cadet cruise on the USS Enterprise. But to her, that was nothing compared to what she had done earlier that year. Because she was now technically Starfleet personnel, she had access to various things. Including shuttles. During her Christmas break that year, she requested a shuttle to fly around the Sol system. But in reality, she just wanted to try a certain shuttle run for herself. This run was known to many as the Jovian run. Eve’s logic wasn’t to see the gas giants or keep herself occupied. No. She wanted to ace Titan’s turn. So she made an attempt. Once a day, everyday during her break until she aced it. On the last day before she was scheduled back at the Academy to resume her classes for the year, she made a perfect run.

After that year, she went onto her fourth year at Starfleet Academy. While it was uneventful like her first two years, she completed each one of her classes. She graduated with honors and graduated the Academy at the rank of Ensign in 2275. Her first posting was to the USS Yokohama as a relief helm officer and shuttle pilot. Her time aboard this ship was more or less uneventful. That was, until 2278 when the Yokohama finally found some action. More specifically in a skirmish with unknown alien vessels. More specifically what happened was that the Yokohama was patrolling the Federation border when three vessels came in full attack. The ship’s shields were depleted quickly and the primary helm officer was killed in action and Eve was forced to take the helm. Not that she was complaining, because she wasn’t. But thanks to the collective work of the bridge crew including Eve’s piloting, the crew survived, but not without casualties.

Because of the incident, and because she was one of the main reasons the crew survived, she was promoted to the Chief Helm Officer positions aboard the Yokohama. Normally, this would have been quite unusual that early on in her career, but she proved herself and she was ready for such a promotion. She served at that post for two more years until she was offered a position at Starfleet Academy as a flight instructor. For her, it was some of her best years in Starfleet. For five years, she was able to bring her knowledge and ‘gift’ of flying to the cadets. Buit wasn’t a starship. While she did fly with the cadets and fly on her own, she felt that she was missing something. What she was missing was the helm of a Starship. In 2285, she requested a transfer to the USS Proxima as her Chief Helm Officer.
