IN THE 23RD CENTURY.....

Klingon raiders, Orion pirates and Gorn hunters have been problems along the Neutral Zone and the Federation's Rim for decades, but a fragile political balance has held fast since the 2260's. The Federation maintains peace and authority on its side of the Neutral Zone with a chain of deep space stations.

Deep Space Station Lambda-2 is one such outpost. It lies precariously close to Klingon space between Donatu and Arcanis Sectors. The Starship Proxima is part of Starfleet's first line of defense there. Recently refitted, the Proxima boasts the most advanced layout of the venerable Constitution-class starships to date.

Genesis

Project Genesis and its fallout has dramatically altered- by some reckoning, destroyed- any semblance of the status quo. The Klingons are sure its a weapon. Various criminal syndicates want to steal the technology. Some Federation worlds are uncomfortable with the idea.

Klingon raiders- often from Houses D'Ghor, Kor and Duras- have begun brazenly violating the Neutral Zone to harass shipping and test Federation mettle. There is even concern that Romulan agents could be attempting to pit the Klingons and Federation against one another. The Hegemony remains enigmatic to their neighbors and care little about this "world-making," but sense an opportunity to restock the larders of their hunting ships and hatchery worlds.

Mission: Regula Gambit

[Red Eye of Navo]
[Mutara Sector]

The wind moved across the dead moon in thin, reedy breaths, carrying the scent of iron and old storms. The light here was strange, thin sunlight filtered through a haze of suspended dust, painting everything in rust and bone. The last living plants clung low to the ground, brittle and gray-green, like they had forgotten what color meant.

S’tevan stood motionless beside a jagged outcrop of basalt, his dark coat brushing the back of his boots as it shifted with the breeze. The faint green cast to his skin caught the dying light, the…

Mission: Regula Gambit
Posted on Sun Feb 22nd, 2026 @ 6:36pm by Captain Mac Sullivan & Lieutenant JG Jalen Young & Ensign Tyler Faulkner & Lieutenant Commander Jethro "Jet" Romanowski & Lieutenant Commander Kirak & Lieutenant Eve West & Lieutenant Hlath & Lieutenant Alijas Dyrgen & Lieutenant Alexander Beckett & Lieutenant Lioren Daeval & Doctor Kim Standish & Ensign Eugene Fredricks & Ensign Kaaven Saenar

The Proxima had moved to what Kirak had calculated as a "minimum safe distance" from Regula One's increasingly unstable orbit. Far enough that the subspace shockwaves were merely uncomfortable rather than dangerous, close enough that their sensors could still monitor the station's inevitable descent toward the planetoid below.

The bridge was more crowded than usual. Mac had called all senior staff to the bridge, along with their seconds and relief officers. Lieutenant West stood at the helm with Ensign Faulkner at navigation. Kirak had positioned himself at the science station with Hlath, the two of them working through the sensor…

Mission: Prelude: The Gathering

The turbolift doors parted with a quiet hiss and a wash of recycled air.

Lieutenant Alexander Beckett stepped onto the bridge for the first time, duffel slung over one shoulder, the polished deck plating reflecting the muted glow of the instrumentation. It was smaller than he’d imagined — tighter, more intimate — but there was something about it that felt alive. The low hum beneath his boots, the faint vibration from the docking clamps, the murmur of officers trading reports; all of it came together like the rhythm of a ship about to move.

He didn’t come up here looking…

Mission: Regula Gambit
Posted on Wed Dec 3rd, 2025 @ 3:17am by Captain Mac Sullivan & Lieutenant Commander Kirak & Lieutenant Hlath & Lieutenant Alijas Dyrgen & Doctor Kim Standish & Ensign Kaaven Saenar

First Officer's Log, supplemental. Having reached Spacelab Regula One we have determined the facility has suffered attack by as yet undetermined forces. Current conjecture is that whoever attacked the lab were likely looking for information on the Genesis Project. The Captain has ordered an Away Team to board Regula One to uncover the fate of the security forces enforcing interdiction and quarantine, and determine the identity of the attacking forces. A notable complication: the destruction of the Genesis planetary system has imperiled matter-energy transport. We are therefore attempting to dock aboard the shuttlecraft Tereshkova.

Tyler's fingers danced across the navigation console as another subspace shockwave rippled through the Mutara sector, the readings on his display shifting like sand in a desert storm. The gravitometric distortions were playing havoc with their sensors, turning what should have been a straightforward course plot into a constantly evolving puzzle. "Course correction, two-point-seven degrees starboard," he called out to Eve at the helm, his voice steady despite the frustration building in his chest. These shockwaves were hitting every few minutes now, each one requiring minute adjustments to…

Commander's Log... Stardate 8233.4.
Shuttlecraft Toliman is en route to Deep Space Station Lambda-2 near the Klingon planet Krios Prime. I have left Federation space and am traveling along non-aligned shipping lanes- the Ardana-Valt Trade Corridor. Ardanan authorities sent Starfleet a code yellow notice of Klingon raiding activities in the area over the last month. I am monitoring an Orion hauling craft on a parallel course bearing 251 mark 011.

I have been reassigned from the U.S.S. Ibn Battuta to the U.S.S. Proxima as First Officer and Chief Navigator. My databanks confirms The Proxima is one of the remaining Constitution-class…
